Neon wall art for bedrooms, living rooms and game rooms
Neon on a wall at home is a light and a piece of wall art at the same time. Turned up, it lights a corner; turned down with the dimmer that comes with every sign, it becomes a soft glow for the evening or a night light.

To size it, use the rule for wall art: about two-thirds of the width of the bed, sofa or desk below it, with the bottom edge 6 to 10 in above the headboard or the sofa back. Over a queen bed, which is 60 in wide, that means a sign of about 36 to 42 in. A shelf or a narrow wall takes 20 to 24 in. The bedroom guide has more.
Renting? No-drill adhesive mounts hold the sign on a smooth, clean, dry wall without holes. In a child's room, mount the sign high and out of reach, and keep the adapter and cable away from the crib or bed; the kids' room guide goes through it.

The sign runs on 12 V DC and the tube gives off little heat. The adapter is a cULus Listed power supply, Class II double insulated and fully encapsulated. Keep the adapter in the open and dry, and switch the sign off when you go out; the safety guide covers the rest.
