A warm yellow crescent moon with two small stars beside it. It is a quiet design, meant for the end of the day: a soft glow in a nursery during night feeds, a calm light above the headboard, or a restful corner in a teenager's room.

The moon and stars are shapes rather than letters, so the tube runs around their outlines. Flexible silicone LED tube is pressed into grooves routed in a clear acrylic board about 1/4 in thick, cut as a rectangle with small rounded corners. On a light wall the board almost disappears and the moon seems to float.

The dimmer matters most on this sign. Every sign includes one, and turned down the moon becomes a gentle night light rather than a lamp. Choose the remote dimmer to switch it off from bed or from the nursery door, or the in-line knob if you like to set it once and leave it.

For a child's room, mount the sign out of reach, high on the wall, and keep the adapter and cable away from the crib or bed. Wall standoffs hold it about 1 in off the wall; no-drill mounts work on smooth, sealed paint if you would rather not drill.

The sign runs on 12 V DC from a plug-in adapter, and the LED tube is rated for 50,000 hours. We make it to order after you approve a free proof, in 15 to 20 days, then allow 3 to 5 days in transit. It carries a 2-year warranty with free repair.

How to choose

As a nursery night light or on a small wall, 20 or 24 in is enough. Above a bed, let the headboard guide you: a sign about two-thirds of its width, hung 6 to 8 in above it, looks balanced. For a tall wall or a playroom, choose 36 or 48 in.

Warm yellow is pictured; warm white is even softer. Color changing lets a child pick tonight's color with the remote.

Use wall standoffs or no-drill mounts, high and out of reach in a child's room. The indoor build is the right one for any bedroom.

Questions

Is it dim enough for a nursery night light?

Yes. The included dimmer turns it down to a soft glow, and the in-line knob can go down to a night-light level.

Where should it go in a nursery?
Can I switch it off without getting up?

Choose the remote dimmer: it turns the sign on and off and sets the brightness from across the room.

Can the moon be warm white instead of yellow?

Yes. Ask for warm white, or any of our 18 tube colors, on the free proof; there is no extra charge.

How much power does it use if it stays on all night?

Very little: the tube draws about 2.4 to 3.7 W per foot. It runs on 12 V DC from an encapsulated adapter with no fan.
