Salon and spa
In a salon, a neon sign tells clients they are in the right place and gives them a spot for the after photo. Put your name or logo at reception, or a ready-made design by the chairs.
What you need
- Size
- Behind reception, 30 to 48 in depending on the wall; a selfie or mirror wall takes 20 to 30 in. Allow about 2 in of width per character of your salon name.
- Color
- Light pink, hot pink, warm white and purple suit most salon rooms. Match your brand color on the proof at no extra cost.
- Backboard
- Clear acrylic cut to shape keeps a light, clean look on a white or tiled wall. For a detailed logo, the printed backboard version keeps every color.
- Mounting
- On tile, glass or a mirror wall you would rather not drill, use no-drill adhesive mounts on a smooth, clean surface. On a plain wall, standoffs float the sign about 1 in off the wall.
- Power
- Plan the outlet before you mount the sign, and keep the adapter away from sinks, steamers and water. For a steamy treatment room, ask for the outdoor build, which is IP67 rated.
- When to order
- Production takes 15 to 20 days after you approve the free proof, then 3 to 5 days in transit. Opening soon? Rush production cuts production to 10 to 14 or 7 to 9 days.

- Set the dimmer to a level that looks good on camera.
Tip: Add your social handle in small print under the neon; text too small for tube is UV printed on the board.
