“Nails” in hot pink script, finished with a small sparkle. In a nail salon it says what you do from across the street; over the stations or on a photo wall it becomes the backdrop for clients' pictures of a fresh set; in a home nail studio it makes a spare room look like a business.
The script is drawn with one flexible silicone LED tube on the centre line of each stroke, and the sparkle is a short run of tube beside it. Everything sits in grooves routed in clear acrylic about 1/4 in thick, so on a painted or tiled wall you mostly see the pink line of light.
Salons have one hazard most rooms do not: acetone. Nail polish remover, alcohol and many solvents can cloud or crack acrylic, so keep bottles and wipes away from the board, and clean it only with a soft cloth and mild soapy water.
For photos, a little less light often works better. Every sign comes with a dimmer; turn it down until the pink glows behind the hands without washing out the color of the polish.
Hanging options: wall standoffs behind the stations, no-drill mounts on smooth tile or sealed paint, or ceiling cables in the front window with the lit face toward the street. The plug-in adapter runs the sign on 12 V DC, and a flame-retardant polycarbonate backboard is available if your fire inspector requires one.
Made to order after a free proof: 15 to 20 days of production, 3 to 5 days in transit, and a 2-year warranty with free repair.
How to choose
For a home nail studio or a single station, 20 or 24 in is right. Behind the reception desk or across a row of stations, choose 30 or 36 in. In a front window or on a large feature wall, 48 in.
Hot pink is pictured. Light pink, purple or warm white can be requested on the proof to suit your salon.
Use wall standoffs for a permanent spot, no-drill mounts in a rented booth or studio, and ceiling cables in the window. The indoor build is all a salon needs.

Questions
Will acetone damage it?
It can. Acetone, alcohol and many solvents cloud or crack acrylic, so keep remover bottles and wipes away from the sign.
How should we clean it?
Dust it first, then wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Skip glass cleaner, which usually contains ammonia.
Will it look good in clients' photos?
Turn it down with the dimmer until the glow sits behind the hands without overpowering the polish color, then leave it at that level.
Can it show our salon's name?
This design is made as pictured. For a name, use our designer; for a logo, the custom logo neon sign starts from your artwork with a free proof.
Can it hang in our front window?
Yes, on ceiling hanging cables with the lit face toward the glass. From inside the salon you will see the back of the board.
