Neon signs for shops, salons, cafes and studios

A neon sign in a shop tells people you are there and what you do, from the street, across a mall or just inside the door. These designs are for shops, salons, studios, cafes and gyms.

OPEN comes in red block letters inside a blue rounded border, for the window. Coffee has warm white script with a steaming cup, Nails hot pink script with a sparkle, and Hair Salon white scissors above pink script. ON AIR is for podcast and recording studios, and Train Hard has blue bold italic letters with a dumbbell for gyms. Each comes in widths from 20 to 60 in, single color or color changing (RGB), indoor or outdoor.

For your own name or logo, send the artwork for a custom logo sign; for detailed artwork, the printed backboard version keeps every color. A double-sided light box on a side bracket is read from up and down a street or a hallway.

In a window, ceiling hanging cables hold the sign behind the glass, facing out. Outside under an awning, choose the outdoor build, IP67 rated, and keep the adapter dry. Rules for lit window signs and outdoor signs vary from city to city, so check your local sign rules and your lease before you order. The storefront guide has more.

The projects walk through common setups: storefront window, salon and spa, gym and fitness and office logo wall. Ordering several signs, or for more than one location? Use the trade form.

  • A window sign faces the street; from inside the shop you see it from the back.
  • Check your city's sign rules and your lease before ordering a window or outdoor sign.
  • Size the sign for the distance people read it from: bigger for the street, smaller for a counter.
  • Mount it above head height behind the counter, where staff and shelves will not block it.
  • Several locations or repeat orders go faster through the trade form.

Questions

Can an OPEN sign hang in my shop window?

Yes. Choose ceiling hanging cables: a disc screws to the ceiling, and the snap hooks clip into the holes in the board, so the sign hangs behind the glass facing out. Plan where the cable runs to the outlet before you hang it; the storefront guide shows how.

Can I get the OPEN sign in other colors?

Yes. Ask on your order and we change the colors on the proof at no charge. Color changing (RGB) is also available and costs extra.

Do I need a permit for a neon sign in my window?

It depends on your city. Some limit lit window signs or how much of the glass a sign may cover, and many leases have their own rules, so check both before you order.

Can my business sign go outside?

Yes, with the outdoor build: IP67 rated tube and sealed parts, with a test report. It lasts longest under a roof or awning, out of all-day rain and sun, with the adapter kept dry.

Can I order signs for several locations?

Yes. Send the details through the trade form and we quote the whole order, with one proof to approve for the design.
