Home bar
A neon sign finishes a home bar the way a sign finishes a real one. Put a ready design over the bar, your family name on the wall or a small sign on a shelf.
What you need
- Size
- Over a home bar or a counter, 24 to 36 in; on a shelf or a bar cart, 20 in on a stand. Over a long bar, aim for about two-thirds of the bar's length.
- Color
- Golden yellow, orange and warm white give a warm, classic bar look; ice blue suits a modern room.
- Backboard
- Clear acrylic cut to shape shows off a brick or wood wall; a black board stands out on a light wall.
- Mounting
- Standoffs hold a wall sign about 1 in off the wall. For a shelf or back bar, the tabletop sign comes on a clear 8 mm base, or add a stand to a sign with a straight bottom edge.
- Power
- Keep the adapter dry and away from the sink and the ice bucket. If the outlet is behind the bar, plan the cable route before you mount the sign.
- When to order
- Production takes 15 to 20 days after you approve the free proof, then 3 to 5 days in transit. For a gift with a date, order early or add rush production.
