Replacement Power Adapter for LED Neon Signs, 12 V
The 12 V DC plug-in adapter for our LED neon signs, with a cULus Listed power supply. Tell us your order or sign size and we send the right wattage.
This is the same 12 V DC plug-in adapter that ships with our LED neon signs. It takes 100 to 240 V AC from the wall and feeds the sign 12 V DC through a barrel plug. Order it as a replacement if the original is lost or damaged, or as a spare to keep at a second location.
The power supply is cULus Listed (file E466625) and also carries CE, FCC, SAA and RoHS marks. It is Class II, double insulated, so it needs no ground pin, and it is fully encapsulated with no fan. These marks belong to the power supply; they are not a listing for the whole sign.
Adapters are matched to the sign. A larger sign has more tube and draws more power, about 8 to 12 W per meter of tube, so it needs a stronger adapter. To get the right one, tell us one of these:
- your order number
- the size of the sign
- a photo of the label on your old adapter
We then send the matching wattage.
The adapter is for indoor use. Keep it dry, also when it powers an outdoor sign: plug it in indoors or in a covered weatherproof outlet box, and let only the low-voltage cable run outside.
How to choose
The only choice is the wattage, and we make it for you. Send your order number, the size of the sign or a photo of the old adapter’s label, and we match it.
If the adapter works but its cable does not reach, you need a DC extension cable rather than a new adapter. If you want to run the sign where there is no outlet at all, look at the 8 x AA battery box.
