Remote Dimmer for Single-Color LED Neon Signs, 12 V
A wireless remote and in-line receiver to switch a single-color 12 V LED neon sign on and off and set its brightness. A replacement or an upgrade.
With a remote dimmer you can switch your neon sign on and off and set its brightness from across the room, without reaching behind a sofa or climbing a step stool. The set is a small wireless remote and an in-line receiver that plugs in between the adapter and the sign with DC barrel plugs, so there is nothing to wire or cut.
Every LED sign we make already comes with a dimmer. This one is:
- a replacement if your remote or receiver is lost or broken
- an upgrade if your sign came with an in-line dimmer and you would rather use a remote
- a spare for a second sign
It works with single-color 12 V LED neon signs. It is not for color-changing (RGB) signs, which use their own controller, or for glass neon.
To fit it, unplug the sign. Plug the adapter into the receiver, plug the receiver into the sign, then switch on and use the remote.
Turned down, a sign gives a soft glow for a bedroom or a lounge; turned up, it holds its own in a bright shop. The remote makes it easy to change between the two through the day.
Not sure which kind of sign you have? A single-color sign glows in fixed colors that never change, even if it has several of them. A color-changing sign shifts color with its own remote, which has a color wheel.
How to choose
Check what your sign has now. If there is a knob on the cable, you have an in-line dimmer, and this remote set is an upgrade. If you lost the remote or the receiver, this is the replacement.
Choose the in-line dimmer knob instead if you prefer a simple control on the cable with nothing to misplace. For a color-changing sign, you need the RGB controller with remote, not this dimmer.
Questions
Will it work with my sign?
It works with single-color 12 V LED neon signs that connect with DC barrel plugs, like all of ours.
Does it work with color-changing signs?
No. RGB signs need the RGB controller with remote.
Do I need to cut or wire anything?
No. The receiver plugs in between the adapter and the sign.
My sign came with a dimmer. Why would I buy this?
As a replacement for a lost or broken remote, as an upgrade from an in-line knob to a remote, or as a spare for a second sign.
Can I use it with glass neon?
No. Glass neon runs on a high-voltage transformer, and this dimmer is for 12 V LED neon only.
