Custom Name Neon Sign, LED Name Light for Nursery, Bedroom or Gift

A name is the simplest neon sign and often the most personal. Type it into the designer on this page, choose a script font and a color, and see it before you order: a baby’s name on the nursery wall, a teenager’s name in a bedroom, a stylist’s name above their chair, or a gift with someone’s name in lights.

Script fonts suit names because the letters join like handwriting. One line of 6 to 8 letters fits a sign 20 to 24 in wide; a longer name, or a first and last name on two lines, needs more width. The designer shows the width and an estimated height as you type.

The letters are a flexible silicone LED neon tube pressed into a groove routed in clear acrylic about 1/4 in (6 mm) thick. Script strokes get one tube down the middle, with round ends and smooth curves. The sign runs on 12 V DC from a plug-in adapter, and every sign comes with a dimmer, so it can glow softly at bedtime or brighter for photos.

For a child’s room, mount the sign high on the wall, out of reach, with wall standoffs or no-drill adhesive mounts, and keep the adapter and cable away from the crib or bed.

Count the letters in the name, spaces included, and allow about 2 in of width for each. Most single names fit 20 or 24 in. Above a bed or a dresser, a sign about two thirds as wide as the furniture looks balanced, so a wide bed may call for 30 to 36 in.

Soft colors such as light pink, warm white or ice blue feel calm in a bedroom and can be dimmed low at night; brighter colors suit a salon station or a teen’s room. Script fonts join the letters like handwriting.

Wall standoffs give a floating look; no-drill adhesive mounts suit rentals and smooth walls. In a child’s room, mount the sign high and out of reach, not on the wall directly above the crib, and keep the adapter and cable well away from the crib or bed.
